Anyway, this is the idea my wife saw on Pinterest and was telling me about on our upcoming pool install, no no no... you can't do that.. We'll I was completely wrong and glad I am. Our deck is 6 inches higher than the pool will be so this is a perfect idea to blend the two. Also, this guy is a born teacher, I agree with the others he should be teaching all forms of math. What about ground water? I did a semi install and I'm getting liner floating issues now.

My dad said he had a level . He didn't. We filled the pool last night , it's atleast 6 inches different. How can I fix this with water in it? I saw something about using a car jack and blocks

Hey Chad, I know this is almost a decade old, but here's the skinny... We are dropping our 24' round AGP maybe at the most 2.5' into the southern Ohio clay/Pennsylvanian clay. Aside from that, we have the 73" exp liner, and are installing all hard-lined plumbing with main drain in the deep center (2' ledge all the way around then itll slope down to a 4' flat in the center). Making it a more permanent fixture and staying clear of $50K pool we will end up seling with the land in the fufture. My main concerns, and Ill also email this to you if I can, telegram or smoke signals, et... 1. pump placement and its level in relation to the dropped pool, will it have to be dropped too,, I mean as far as the pool is? 2. will the sand be workable on a slope like this or is there a different approach here? 3. will I need to install at least a french drain around the rear of the hole for drdainage, and would a product like a metallic mobile home roof sealant be of any use to prolong use or prevent rust issuse (painting the lower portions of the pool with it that will be buried?)?Thanks Scott

My pool water pump is leaking water. It's this normal?

Thanks so much for your video! We have been able to get our pump started. I left it run for about 20 hours before I shut it off and the next time I went to turn it on - all it would do is hum again. So we got it started again and it's currently running and will be running overnight and into tomorrow. But I'm wondering if it's always going to have to be started this way cuz if it is, I'm not crazy about that either. I mean - I don't want to spend $$$$ on a new pump if I don't have to but our plug in isn't down by the pump so it takes 2 of us to go thru the process....one to plug in while the other person does the spinning. Any advice for this problem will be very much appreciated. Thanks!!!

I had mines up this be 3rd year nvr got it leveled correctly. This year guess it settled some more it waited a day later before it bent a pole. So scared t touch it😢 all the water going to be wasted to empty & re do. Wish i can shift the weight to the otherside by lowering the other side

My pump has hi/low speed. Been running strong for 5+ years. Today, it failed. Low speed works but hi speed does the humming with shaft frozen. ???

Hey...had my aqua trol for years. Hope you still monitor this video. recently, the pump doesn't turn on when plugged into the bottom of the unit. When I plug the pump directly into the outlet, it works fine. The unit has the power light on. My question is, does the pump need to plugged into the bottom of the unit for it the unit to recognize there is a pump attached. I have a brand new flow switch in the cell, and I just want to be sure that the system is generation chlorine. (my chlorine level hasn't changes at all since it happened....coincidence or not ?) Thank you

I just built it and added water to it then I bought 8 bags that cleaned about 13500 per bag I got a 16ft x4ft or a 42" pool I added it yesterday about 8 or 9 am said 24 hours so I waited well it's still like a light green cloudy color

If you're salt level is super low, will the check cell light come on even if the cell is clean? Or will it only come on if there is an issue specifically with the cell? Great video btw!!

Tried you fix the first time and the spindle would not budge. No turn whatsoever. This left me discouraged thinking I would need a new pump. I thought through the corrosion issue around the coils. Copper turns green from corrosion and leaches out to surrounding area. I then went out with a 3lb. sledge and GENTLY tapped the housing. I then used a small chisel in place of screwdriver, that I then clamped to a crescent wrench for leverage and was able to begin to turn and break the corrosion! That did the trick!!! Pump working now like a champ! Thank you! I also used your Pool liner install series 2 years back to flawlessly install my new liner. This guy knows his craft. Highly recommend! Saved me thousands on liner installation and hundreds on new pump!

No advice for priming the pump? Does it just come full of water ready to be plugged in from the factory? So I have an empty sand filter and empty pump and I just power it on. Ok...

I'm definitely gonna give this a try on my above ground pool. I'm just now opening my pool up this year. Are the procedures any different for that under the same kinda green water? My pool is roughly 12 thousand gallons.

All I can say is WOW! This was so useful. Only difference for me was that the thing I had to spin didn’t have a flat screwdriver spot so I just put on a rubber glove and spun it with my hand as I switched on the pump. I did have to pull away super fast as then it started to spin on it’s own but worked non the less. Thank you!!!

You’re a life saver! Turned off my pump to backwash and it locked up. I have the same pump so I was able to remove that one screw and kickstart it. Thanks!
